Crop a shared screen or application window and keep that region visible in an always-on-top popout.

Share Screen

Share a screen, window, or tab, then hold and drag to select the region for the overlay.

Navigate the shared screen
  • Hold and drag the left mouse button on empty space to select a crop.
  • Click the left mouse button without dragging to reset the crop.
  • Hold and drag the scroll wheel to pan the preview.
  • Drag inside an existing crop to move it.
  • Drag a crop edge or corner to resize it.
  • Use the scroll wheel to zoom in or out.

Overlay Controls

The popout fills its window and keeps the selected crop's aspect ratio. Document Picture-in-Picture is used when available.

Select a cropped region to preview the overlay.

Overlay is closed.

Browser Notes

  • Chrome, Edge, or Opera desktop provides the closest always-on-top experience through Document Picture-in-Picture.
  • Use the 75%/100% transparency control in the popout window's browser header to adjust native window transparency.
  • The shared source must remain visible and unobscured for the overlay to keep receiving updated frames.
